Ya always felt the father daughter relationship they have is similar to Ranma and the stupid panda. LoL.
Meanwhile our poor MC just wants some attention, and he ain't getting any lmao.
Lol stupid panda
It doesn't help that everyone looks exactly like Ranma
It's obviously Ukyo. Girl who looks like a guy who is suppose to take over the family business. Even the similarity of Ran being turned into the super girly fiance of Ukyo is there.
I really thought she was a tomboy and fell in love with ran but she's trying to learn to be a girl
I was thinking Ukyo but she doesn't have short blue hair
Yah, that's not not how you define a character
There's always one...And if Ran wasn't thicc she'd only be thick. Honestly think the only person in this series that's well grounded is Lum. (Get it? Electrician joke #2)
Well grounded? Lum?
All the characters in Urusei Yatsura is cuckoo. There are moments where Lum isn't the reasonable one.
Yet she's by far the more rational and being of sound mind, than ANY other character, sure, she's feisty when it come to her darling. But that's his fault for being a letch.
No, she is also at fault because she definitely has screws loose. Are we forgetting that Ataru didn't even want her around after the first episode? She was sticking to him like a leech. When a horny bastard like Ataru is recoiling you should know there's something wrong with the woman.
It's not exactly her fault. Ataru did sound like he was proposing to her. And I didn't say she was perfect, just the most grounded... I mean, you're gonna gloss over the fact that Ataru makes every woman uncomfortable? Lum is probably the only woman who can keep him under control. Also, if you count the movies... Lum has save Ataru so many times from his own lechery.
I never stated that Ataru was guiltless or sane. You are absolutely correct that Lum has saved his ass many times from his own foolishness. But she has also been the one inflicting damage onto him, sometimes when he didn't even deserve it in the situation...especially in the earlier episodes. My entire point was that if you consider Lum to be the most grounded character in this show (I disagree btw, for me it's Shinobu, as much as I don't like her) then you have to acknowledge the fact that the bar is extremely low
I do acknowledge that bar is only a foot off of the ground, and that's being generous. Shinobu is a lot less grounded than Lum though, as she'll attack at the drop of the hat with no real rhyme nor reason. Lum at the very least ATTEMPTS to solve the situation peacefully, and only attacks Darling when he's trying to cheat. We'll have to agree to disagree...
you're trying to be too reasonable. this is a comedy anime. Ataru doesn't need a reason to recoil from Lum to make the comedy happen. Ataru isn't being faithful to anyone.
No one is sane in this show. Well... Maybe Atarus dad
The only 100% sane people in this series are Lum's mom (voiced by the original 1980's Lum I hear) and his dad. Both have almost no bearing on the series...
Lum tried to kamikaze her UFO simply because she saw Ataru and Shinobu together. I don't think I'd call that well grounded. 😛
Shush you.
Ryunoosuke is literly the inspiration for ranma and maybe even ukyo she is not remotely similar to akane
you forgot Ukyo literally exists lol
ukyo was my fav character from ranma 1/2
She doesn't have short blue hair
Maybe not, but the parallels other than appearance seem to fit better. And Akane's hair was long at first when she was at her feistiest, anyway. 😛
This episode is really fun
It's so funny Sea vs human
You could tell Takahashi-Sensei was thinking up ideas for Ranma 1/2.
She took many things fri, here. You can spot Ramna chars easily
Yeah
So he's finally here, the most despicable character, the number 1 character I downright despise the most in this series: Ryūnosuke's father.
I like Ryūnosuke though. She's great.
Worse father in manga and anime! But both him and his son...ehm daughter make me laugh!
I beg to differ (regarding worst father in manga/anime). I think the worse father goes to Shou Tucker from Full Metal Alchemist. But Ryounouske’s dad is among my top 10 of the worst anime/manga fathers.
All the father figures are horrible in her animes.
Yea...this episode was extremely hard to get through because of her dad and Ataru. Ataru's bullshit was dialed up to 11 today man...
For Sailor uniform!
Akebi-chan resonates.
Two episodes of Tomo-chan this week!
Was looking forward to Ryunosuuke's debut in the new series, a girl raised as a boy and with almost supernatural strength, she's that one character that probably fooled almost everyone about her gender at first.
Her father is really problematic but i might be one of the few people out there that doesn't hate him all the time, he's a really bad father and makes you feel sorry for Ryunosuke, but he's also entertaining to watch sometimes. It's easy to understand how Ryunosuke got so strong, she had to train hard in order to match and eventually surpass her father, so that one day she can finally wear that Sailor Uniform that she always wanted. Their screams at the ocean never get old.
Man does this family pack a punch, destroyed their own teashop while being chained down, but hey they found somewhere new to work and live, Mr Fujinami is crazy, opening for business at the beach even during Winter and snow, Ryunosuke had to deal with a lot during her whole life.
Whoever decided to put Ryunosuke's Father looking so detailed while he screams is a genius. Watch out Mendo, Ryunosuuke ain't losing to you in a popularity contest. Poor Onsen Mark, got punched as soon as he met the new student.
The boys tried but...Ryunosuke wants to wear that Sailor Uniform only after winning against her father, on top of that she wants to behave more like a normal girl first (though we all prefer her strong character). Inviting Ran to learn how to be more feminine is both the best and worst idea ever, but it's all golden as long as she thinks its just another "boy" trying to date her and a useful pawn to get closer to her revenge.
In the end Ryunosuke's "lessons" didn't get much results, but she's still as motivated as ever. Overall a pretty good episode and possibly one of the most waited ones. Looking forward to next episode.
Ryunosuke's father, the way I see it. He's something like Cartman from South Park. A character "created/designed to be hated/despicable", since he serves as Ryunousuke's foil.
While that's nice and all, I'm just upset how Ryunosuke's father always wins/beats his daughter in her quest to wear girl's clothes. No progress, or development which is a norm in this series unless you're Ataru and Lum (everyone pretty much exists as gags to enjoy and never change, or as stepping stones to Lum's and Ataru's development as a couple).
As If they got me questioning Ryunoskue gender twice, first I thought
Ryunoskue was girl because of the little eyelashes but then I changed
because of her hot blooded personality. But they tricked me again by
revealing she's female.
They really got me there. will played. Lol 😆
Also 13:13 I felt a great disturbance in the force....
Fan artists, get to work.
Mendo's reign is over!
You're a girl?! That;s changes everything! XD
A wife who you can hunt with is a good thing. What do you hunt? I don't want to know.
Hear hear
Lol 😂
Wow this episode didn’t feel like a romance episode but more of a comedy this time
Well, Urusei Yatsura is a comedy
Ultra violent Tendo Akane just enter the chat
